Training

I have been hesitant to post about training. As of right now, I am a white belt and the training I run into may not be of much importance to many people. So, for the last 7 or 8 months I have opted not to update my blog. Since my first post I have continued to show up and train Jiu-Jitsu every day that I could. I am in the gym a minimum of 4-5 times a week. Looking back on the past couple of months, I now think it wise to record some of my training.

Gracie Barra Georgia runs on 3 different curriculum. Fundamentals classes, Advanced classes, and Black Belt classes. I make it a point to hit at least one fundamentals class per week. That curriculum has been strong and I absolutely love it. A person can never practice enough escaping mount, passing the guard, scissor sweep and so on. The majority of the classes I attend are advanced classes. Usually my professors show more complicated techniques with more detail. After most of these classes there is live training and sparring. The Black Belt classes are usually reserved for blue belts and higher. Though, my gym has suspended those classes for the last couple of months in favor of a Competition Camp. I attend Competition Camp frequently.
